儂はその 時に 命を 失い 今や 魂だけの 存在となってしまった……

記憶の 確かでない お 主に 全てを 語れば 混乱する……

Now I think I should tell you what happened 100 years ago.
厄災ガノンの 正体……
Calamity Ganon’s true form...
それは 太古の 昔 この 国に 生まれた 魔王が 怨念と 化して 復活した 姿なのだ
The demon king was born into this kingdom, but his transformation into Malice created the horror you see now.
ガノンは 伝説や 伽 話に 現れる 者として 語り 継がれてきた
Stories of Ganon were passed from generation to generation in the form of legends and fairy tales.
だがある 時 王国の 占い師が ひとつの 予言を 告げたのだ
But at the time, the kingdom's fortune teller made a prophecy.
『 大地に 厄災ガノン 復活の 兆しあり…… だが ガノンに 抗する 力もまた 大地に 眠る……』
“The signs of a resurrection of Calamity Ganon are clear. And the power to oppose it lies dormant beneath the ground.”
我らは 予言に 従って 発掘を 行った……
We decided to heed the prophecy and began excavating large areas of land.
その 結果 遠き 祖先の 手により 作られた 遺物が 幾つも 発見された
This led to the discovery of several ancient relics made by the hands of our distant ancestors.
人が 操る 獣を 象った４ 体の 巨大 遺物 神獣……
These relics, the Divine Beasts, were giant machines piloted by warriors.
自らの 意志で 敵と 戦う からくりの 兵士 ガーディアン……
We also found the Guardians, an army of mechanical soldiers who fought autonomously.
それらは 我国で 永きに 渡り 語られてきた 伝説と 見事に 符合していた
This coincided with ancient legends, oft repeated throughout our land.
封印の 力を 持つ 王家の 姫と 退魔の 剣に 選ばれし 騎士……
We also learned of a princess with a sacred power and her appointed knight, chosen by the sword that seals the darkness.
